About  Me



I just turned 22 but haven't had the chance to celebrate yet, 
so here it is!


Nellie Xie(Tse) is an interdisciplinary designer and creative technologist exploring immersive storytelling. Her practice spans game design, installation art, and immersive theatre. She likes things that are simple and silly. Drawn to nature and everyday life, she crafts them into emotionally evocative environments. She believes deeply in the power of transmitting resonance through art—inviting people to pause, to play, and to feel. In her spare time, she loves doodling typographies, reading and fabricating.

Previous work experience includes game design, installations with interactive systems. During her recent apprenticeship in Philip Beesley Studio Inc., her involvement in an interactive artwork Aria(Systems Designer & Installation Coordinator, Delft Science Center, 2025), which is a living, interactive installation made of 500,000+ sustainable parts, got her really into fabrication and electronics.

Lately, however, she’s venturing into lamp design. Her backup plan is to become a chef and open a Chinese salad restaurant in her 40s.
